Pasted Open Mouth (POM)
This open-end, flush cut bag, although similar to the SOM style, Pasted Open Mouth bags are a flat tube sack with a factory formed, satchel-type, pasted bottom. Once filled, the satchel bottom serves as a flat, square base. There are no gussets on this bag.
These bags are typically sewn closed after filling, although folding and gluing are also viable options. However, using a sewn closure, along with the flush-cut end, makes the POM bag suitable for products with variable density because the bag length can be trimmed as necessary.
Due to it’s flush-cut design, the POM bag has a relatively low end- strength, and is not sift proof if used for powdered-like products.

Sad, but true, we may not be a good fit for some, and some may not be a good fit for us. With that in mind, please know, that as a custom packaging firm, certain minimum quantities must be respected. The minimum quantity will depend on the particular product. By all means, however, contact us and we'll see what we can do.
