Bulk Bag Quality

Commercial Packaging provides high quality flexible intermediate bulk containers, all of which are manufactured in a food grade compliant environment to assure maximum quality control.  We have also established a set of Good Manufacturing Practices Policies.

Preventative Practices

We have implemented a set of preventative procedures that encompass the following potential contamination factors:

Human Factors

  • All operation, sewing, inspection and packing workers wear hairnets and uniforms
  • Workers are regularly trained for food grade requirements through the plant’s Health, Safety & Hygiene programs.
  • No food or drink stored or consumed in warehouse or production areas.
  • Personal Hygiene Program
    • Employees must wash hands after using sanitary facilities
    • No rings, earrings, watches, necklaces, or loose jewelry allowed for production employees

Facility Factors

  • Facility and individual workstations are cleaned daily
  • Light protective covers are installed in workstations.
  • Floor Contaminations are kept to a minimum as every operator wears a waist belt containing a small bag used to dispose of all trimmings, and filaments that are collected throughout the inspection process
  • Pesticide/rodent control in place throughout the facility

Material/ Production Factors

  • Tools and objects in production areas are controlled. No other materials are permitted in workstations.
  • Water used in production is tested annually to comply with drinking water standards.
  • All incoming raw materials must be properly inspected upon arrival

Inspection

Each workstation has one supervisor and one housekeeping person assigned that:

  • Conduct a visual inspection during every process
  • Including the extrusion, weaving, cutting, sewing, and packing processes
  • Each bag undergoes a testing stage where the yarn, finished fabric, and lift loops are all analyzed.

Other bag inspection options the customer may choose:

  • Vacuuming
  • Light table
  • Metal detection
  • High air pressure / blowing

Bags from each run are retained for future reference and each finished bag is inspected to confirm approved specifications, and is then labeled with:

  • Inspector’s ID
  • Item code
  • PO #
  • Size
  • Applicable test certificate #
  • Date of manufacturing

Minimum Order Quantity Guidelines

Sad, but true, we may not be a good fit for some, and some may not be a good fit for us. We accept this and work even harder to be great in areas where we know our products and services will be most effective for all involved parties. We like to think of it as a 'win-win-win situation', whereas the supplier, customer, and end user all benefit.

With that in mind, please know, that as a custom packaging firm, certain minimum quantities must be respected. The minimum quantity will depend on the particular product. By all means, however, contact us and we'll see what we can do.
